On a distant little island,
there lived a curious young mushroom named Mumu.
They loved joining the trees’ afternoon gatherings,
listening to the elder trees whisper ancient stories.
They often sat beside the beehives as well,
“supervising” the busy bees as they built their golden homes.

But the moment he loved most
was lying on a large lotus leaf
with his round-bellied father and beautiful mother,
letting the leaf carry them gently across the lake—
a tiny boat drifting on a journey with no destination.

One day, Mumu pressed his cheek against the cool lotus leaf and asked,
“Where are you going today?”
The lotus leaf swayed lightly and replied,
“I’m going to find the wind.
The wind always brings news from the sea.”
“The sea?” Mumu blinked.
“What is the sea?”
The lotus leaf lowered its voice:
“It is the most mysterious place…
and the one everyone longs for.”
